Introduction
You can break one listing into two or more smaller listings, for example to sell a block of four seats as two pairs. This guide shows you how to choose where each new listing ends, check the result before you split, and find the new listings.
The numbers in brackets, like (1), match the numbered markers in the screenshots.
Step 1: Open Split
In Inventory, find the listing. To narrow the list, type the section in the Section filter under the column header (1), for example 122. Click ⋮ on the listing (2) and choose Split under MODIFY (3).
Tip: You can also type the event name in the search bar at the top and click the event. Inventory then shows all of your tickets for that event (see How to Find Events, Listings and Orders with the Search Bar).
Step 2: Enter Where the First Listing Ends
In Split Listing, the table starts with one row that contains all of the listing's seats. In HIGH SEAT (1), type the last seat of the first new listing, for example 10.
A second row (2) appears for the remaining seats. It starts at the next seat, here 11, and ends at 12. QTY shows how many tickets each new listing gets, here 2 each.
Check the Result line (3) before you split, here 2 listings · 9–10 (2) · 11–12 (2).
Step 3: Split
Click Split into 2 (1). To close the window without splitting, click Cancel (2).
Step 4: Check the Progress
A box in the bottom-right corner of the page shows the progress (1): Split into 2 listings · 2 created. Each new listing is marked Applied, here Sec 122 Row 25 · Seats 9–10 · 2 tickets and Sec 122 Row 25 · Seats 11–12 · 2 tickets. The box closes on its own after a few seconds.
Step 5: Find the New Listings
Inventory now shows two listings in section 122, row 25: seats 11–12 (1) and 9–10 (2), each with a QTY of 2. The seats are shown under the section and row in the SECTION column.
⚠️Important: If some seats on the listing have already sold, you may still be able to split the unsold seats. In that case, the seats that are already sold stay on the original listing, and only the unsold seats appear in the table. If the listing can't be split, a message in the Split Listing window tells you why.
⚠️Important: You need at least two unsold seats to split a listing, so one-ticket listings can't be split.
⚠️Important: Some listings can't be split, for example listings that include parking. Split is greyed out for them. Point to Split to see why.
Tip: To split into three or more listings, click Add split. It splits the last listing in the table in half, and you can then change its HIGH SEAT. The button shows how many listings you'll get, for example Split into 3.
Tip: To remove a split, click the ✕ at the end of a row. That listing is merged into the one below it (or, for the last row, into the one above it).
Tip: If the HIGH SEAT you type doesn't work, the box shows why, for example Not a seat in this listing for a seat that isn't on the listing, or Must be seat 9 or later for a seat that comes before the row's LOW SEAT (here 9).
Tip: The new listings keep the original price. To change them, use Edit listing or PRICE INLINE (see How to Change a Listing's Price with Edit Listing and How to Change Prices Right in the Grid (PRICE INLINE)).
Tip: To merge listings back together, use Combine (see How to Combine Listings in the Same Section and Row).
