Introduction
If you can't add tickets, publish them, or use an action on a listing, SeatHQ usually tells you why. This guide shows you where to look and what to do, followed by the most common messages and how to fix them.
The numbers in brackets, like (1), match the numbered markers in the screenshots.
Step 1: Read the Needed to Add Line
In the Add Tickets to Inventory window, read the orange line at the bottom (1). Needed to add: lists the fields you still have to fill in, here Event, Purchasing account, Section, Row and Quantity. With publishing turned on, it reads Needed to publish:. The add button stays greyed out until the list is empty.
Step 2: Jump to a Missing Field
Click a field name in that line, for example Section (1). The window jumps to that field so you can fill it in (2).
Step 3: Complete the Listing Before Publishing
If the Publish to Marketplaces card says Complete the listing first, then choose whether to publish it. (1), fill in the fields from the Needed to add: line first. The switch unlocks when the listing is complete.
Step 4: Find Out Why a Listing Action Is Greyed Out
On Inventory, click the ⋮ at the far right of the listing's row (1). If an item is greyed out, point to it (2) to see why (3). For example, a listing with sold seats shows This listing has sold seats and cannot be removed.
Tip: The ⋮ button is hidden while COMPS is on. If you don't see it, click COMPS to turn it off.
Tip: For everything in this menu, see How to Open the Actions Menu for a Listing.
