Introduction
This guide walks you through adding tickets to your inventory with Add Tickets, from picking the event to finding your new listing. You can publish the listing to marketplaces right away, or add it unpublished and publish it later.
Add Tickets replaces the old +Create page.
The numbers in brackets, like (1), match the numbered markers in the screenshots.
Before You Start
Have your ticket details ready:
- The event, with its date and time
- Section, row and seat numbers
- How many tickets you have and what you paid for them
- The purchasing account: the email address you bought the tickets with (for example, the Ticketmaster account the tickets were issued to)
Tip: If your login manages more than one affiliate, check the affiliate button at the top of the page before you click Add Tickets (see How to Check or Switch the Affiliate You're Working In).
Step 1: Open Inventory
You land on Inventory when you log in. From anywhere else, for example the Orders page, point to Positions in the top menu (1) and click Inventory (2).
Tip: When you're already on Inventory, Positions is highlighted with a blue underline and doesn't open a menu. The Inventory tab shows in the row of tabs under the top menu instead.
Step 2: Open Add Tickets
Click Add Tickets at the top right of the toolbar (1). The Add Tickets to Inventory window opens (2).
Tip: Add Tickets is greyed out while PRICE INLINE is on. Save or discard your price changes and turn PRICE INLINE off first.
Step 3: Search for Your Event
Under Event Selection, click Search events, venues, cities... and type the event name (1), for example Hamilton. Each result shows the event, venue, city, date and time, soonest first. Find the right date (2).
Step 4: Select the Event
Click your event. It appears as a chip above the search box (1). You add tickets to one event at a time. To pick a different event, click the x on the chip and search again.
Step 5: Choose the Purchasing Account
Click Purchasing Account (1) and choose the email address you bought the tickets with (2).
Tip: If the account you bought the tickets with isn't in the list, add it first (see How to Add a Purchasing Account).
Step 6: Check the Vendor
Your purchasing account now shows in the field (1), and Vendor / Marketplace fills in by itself, for example TicketMaster (2).
Step 7: Enter the Seating Information
Under Seating Information, fill in Section (1) and Row (2), check Seat Type (3), then enter Quantity (4) and your lowest seat number in Low Seat (5). Split Type starts as Standard Split Rule. For details, see How to Enter Seats, Seat Type and Split Rule for New Tickets.
⚠️Important: If the section, row and seats don't match your tickets, your order may be cancelled and you may incur a penalty.
Tip: Copy the section, row and seats straight from your order confirmation.
Step 8: Enter Your Prices
Under Pricing Information, enter Cost per Ticket (what you paid for each ticket) (1), Face Value (2) and your List Price per ticket (3). The total for the whole listing shows at the right of each field. For example, 2 tickets at a list price of $289 show =578.
Tip: Some marketplaces may require a face value for certain listings to appear, so fill in Face Value when you have it.
Step 9: Set Delivery and On-Hand Status
Under Stock & Delivery, check Delivery (1) and On Hand Status (2). If the status is Pending, enter the date you'll have the tickets in On-Hand Date (3). See How to Set the Delivery Method and On-Hand Date for New Tickets.
Step 10: Add Any External Tags
Under Tags > EXTERNAL TAGS, click Select external tags - side view, parking, 18+... (1) and pick anything buyers need to know, such as an obstructed view, wheelchair-only seats, an age limit or included parking. If nothing applies, skip this step. See How to Add Disclosures and Internal Tags to New Tickets.
⚠️Important: You must disclose any viewing restriction (such as an obstructed view), accessibility seating and any other restriction such as an age limit (for example 21+).
Step 11: Turn On Publishing
Scroll down to Publish to Marketplaces and click the card so its switch turns green (1). It now reads Tickets will be listed and visible to buyers immediately. (It still takes 2–10 minutes on average for listings to appear on marketplaces; see Step 14.) Leave it off if you want to add the tickets unpublished.
⚠️Important: New tickets are added unpublished unless you turn on Publish to Marketplaces.
Step 12: Click Add & Publish
Click Add & Publish (1 event) (1). If publishing is off, the button reads Add unpublished (1 event).
Tip: If the button is greyed out, read the orange line at the bottom of the window (Needed to publish:, or Needed to add: if publishing is off). It lists the fields you still need. Click a field name to jump to it.
Step 13: Confirm the Listing Details
The Confirm Ticket Listing Details window opens.
- Read the seating warning (1).
- Check the event, venue, date and time under Event Info (2).
- Check Listing Details (3): Purchase Account, Section, Row, Seat Type, Seat Range and Delivery.
- If everything matches your tickets, click Confirm and Create Tickets (4). To fix something, click Cancel.
Step 14: Check the Confirmation
You'll see Created 1 ticket group. at the top of the page (1), and the number next to Inventory goes up by one (2), here from 29 to 30. A purchase order for the tickets is created at the same time.
⚠️Important: Published listings take 2–10 minutes on average to appear on marketplaces, and may not appear on every marketplace.
Step 15: Find Your New Listing
Type the event name in the Event or performer box above the grid (1). Your new listing shows under its event row. A green dot (2) means the listing is published; a grey dot means it isn't. The listing shows its section and row (3), with its seats underneath.
Tip: You can also find the listing with the search bar at the top of the page. Type the event name and, under EVENTS, click the result with the right date. Inventory then shows all of that event's tickets (see How to Find Events, Listings and Orders with the Search Bar).
Tip: To list the same seats for another date, add them again and pick that event.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the +Create page?
It's been replaced. Go to Positions > Inventory and click Add Tickets.
Which fields do I have to fill in?
To add tickets: Event, Purchasing account, Section, Row and Quantity. Seat Type, Low Seat, Split Type and Delivery are filled in for you, so check them. To publish you also need a List Price and, if On Hand Status is Pending, an On-Hand Date.
How long until my tickets show on marketplaces?
2–10 minutes on average, and they may not show on every marketplace (see Where Are My Tickets Listed?).
I can't find my event. What do I do?
Try a different part of the name, the venue or the city. If you list through sitickets.com, you can only list Sports Illustrated Stadium events. Otherwise, if your venue isn't available, email support@seathq.com to request it.
Can I list several dates at once?
No. Add the tickets once for each event.
