Introduction

Unpublishing takes a listing off the marketplaces without deleting it, so you can stop selling for a while. Publishing puts it back. This guide shows you how to do both from Inventory and how to check that the change worked.

The numbers in brackets, like (1), match the numbered markers in the screenshots.

Step 1: Check the STATUS Dot

Check the STATUS dot (1) of the listing, for example 105 · Row 8 (2). Green means it's published.

Step 2: Choose Unpublish

Click ⋮ on the listing (1) and choose Unpublish under AVAILABILITY (2).

Step 3: Check the Result

The dot turns grey right away (1). A message confirms 1 listing unpublished (2), and the Unpublish listings card at the bottom right shows the listing as Applied (3). The card and message clear on their own.

⚠️Important: Unpublishing keeps the listing in your Inventory. To delete it, use Remove.

Step 4: Choose Publish to Put It Back

When you're ready to sell again, click ⋮ (1) and choose Publish (2).

⚠️Important: To publish, a listing needs a list price. If Publish is greyed out, point to it to see why, for example No price set.

Step 5: Check That It's Live Again

The dot turns green again (1), and a message confirms 1 listing published (2). Listings take 2 to 10 minutes on average to appear on the marketplaces.

⚠️Important: Unpublish and Publish take effect immediately, with no confirmation.

Tip: To find your unpublished listings, click the Status box under STATUS and tick Unpublished.

Tip: To change several listings at once, select them and use the bulk bar (see How to Select Several Listings and Use Bulk Actions).

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Published / Unpublished toggle?

It's been replaced by Unpublish and Publish in the ⋮ menu on each listing.

How long until the marketplaces update?

2 to 10 minutes on average. A listing may not appear on every marketplace.
