Introduction
This guide shows you how to tell buyers anything they need to know about your seats with external tags (disclosures, perks and seat attributes), and how to tag listings for your own team with internal tags, when you add tickets. To open the Add Tickets to Inventory window, see How to Add Tickets to Your Inventory.
The numbers in brackets, like (1), match the numbered markers in the screenshots.
⚠️Important: External tags are shown to buyers on marketplaces. They work like external notes: each one triggers the right disclosure or attribute on the marketplaces.
⚠️Important: You must disclose any viewing restriction (such as an obstructed view), accessibility seating (Wheelchair user only) and any other restriction such as an age limit (for example 21+).
Step 1: Open the External Tags List
In the Add Tickets to Inventory window, scroll to Tags > EXTERNAL TAGS and click Select external tags - side view, parking, 18+... (1). The list opens (2) and is grouped into DISCLOSURE, PERK and ATTRIBUTE. Scroll the list to see every group.
Tip: What's in each group:
- DISCLOSURE: view issues (Side View, Rear View, Limited View, Restricted View, Obstructed View and Video Screen / Scoreboard Obstruction), Wheelchair user only, age limits from Must be 3+ to Must be 21+, and other restrictions such as Parking Pass Only - does not include admission, ID or Credit Card Required at Entry and Must Purchase Entire Group / Pod Seating.
- PERK: extras such as Includes parking, Includes VIP pass, Club / Lounge Access and Food and Beverage Included.
- ATTRIBUTE: seat features such as the ADA seating options, Aisle Seat, Standing Room Only and Suite / Box / Loge.
Step 2: Select Each Tag That Applies
Tick every tag that applies, then click outside the list. Each one appears as a chip under the box, for example Obstructed View (1) and Must be 21+ (2). The box now reads Add another external tag....
Step 3: Remove an External Tag
To remove an external tag, click the x on its chip (1). Here, clicking the x on Must be 21+ removes it and keeps Obstructed View.
Step 4: Choose Who Sees Your Internal Tags
Under INTERNAL TAGS, Personal tag (only visible to me) is ticked by default. Untick it (1) if the tag should be shared with your whole team. Internal tags are available once you've selected an event.
Step 5: Add an Internal Tag
Click Add internal tags..., type a tag (for example Season seats) and press Enter. The tag appears as a chip (1).
⚠️Important: Who sees your tags: external tags are visible to buyers on marketplaces, and each one triggers the matching disclosure or attribute there. Internal tags are never shown to buyers. A personal tag (lock icon) is only visible to you, and any other internal tag (a company tag) is visible to your whole team.
Step 6: Check the Tags in Inventory
After you add the tickets, find the listing in Inventory (1), for example by typing the event name in the Event or performer box above the grid. Scroll a little to the right: your external tags show in the EXTERNAL TAGS column (2) and your internal tags in the INTERNAL TAGS column (3).
