Introduction
COMPS shows competitor listings for the same event right under your own listings in Inventory, so you can see how your price compares before you change it. COMPS works on one event at a time. This guide shows you how to pick the event, turn COMPS on, choose marketplaces, read the competitor rows and turn COMPS off again.
The numbers in brackets, like (1), match the numbered markers in the screenshots.
Step 1: Show Only One Event
In Inventory, click the name of the event you want to compare on its event row (1), for example New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics. When you point to an event name, you'll see Show only this event.
Inventory now shows only that event:
- A chip with the event's name and date (2) appears under the event filters, with Clear all filters (3) next to it.
- COMPS (4) can now be clicked.
Tip: While more than one event is shown, COMPS is greyed out. Point to it to see Filter to a single event to compare prices. Click an event name to show only that event.
Step 2: Turn On COMPS
Click COMPS (1). It turns amber, and Markets (2) appears next to it. Markets shows All: you're comparing with every marketplace COMPS covers.
Step 3: Choose Marketplaces
- Click Markets (1). The COMPARE MARKETS list opens. It shows each marketplace with its short name: TM+ (TM), SeatGeek (SG), TicketEvo (TE), TicketClub (TC), Automatic (AQ) and GoTickets (GO). A tick means the marketplace is on.
- Click a marketplace to turn it off or on, for example Automatic (2). Markets then shows the short names of the marketplaces that are on, here TM, SG, TE and +2 more.
- Click Select all (3) to turn every marketplace on again, or Clear (4) to turn them all off.
Click anywhere outside the list to close it.
Tip: If you turn every marketplace off, Markets shows None and a message above the table says there's nothing to compare against. Click Compare all markets in the message to turn them all back on.
Step 4: Read the Competitor Rows
In this example, every marketplace is on again (Markets All). Under each listing, there's a row for each competitor listing COMPS found. Each row shows:
- the marketplace (1), for example GO for GoTickets
- the competitor's section, row and seats, in the same columns as yours
- under LIST $, the competitor's price, how it compares with yours and how long ago it was seen (2), for example $490.43, +9.2% and 3m ago
Your own price is in the listing row above (3), here $449.00.
The last line, No recent price (4), lists the marketplaces that have no competitor price newer than 6 hours for that listing, here TC (TicketClub).
Tip: Point to the percentage to see the comparison in words, for example GoTickets is 9.2% above your $449.00.
Step 5: Hide Competitors for One Listing
Click the arrow next to a listing's STATUS dot (1) to hide its competitor rows. Click it again to show them. Other listings keep theirs (2).
Step 6: Turn COMPS Off
Click COMPS again (1) to hide Markets and the competitor rows. Inventory still shows only the one event.
To see all your events again, click Clear all filters (2). If COMPS is still on, this turns it off too.
⚠️Important: Row checkboxes are greyed out while COMPS is on, and COMPS turns off when you reload the page.
Tip: The ⋮ menu at the right end of each listing is hidden while COMPS is on. Turn COMPS off to use it. COMPS can't be turned on while PRICE INLINE is on.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is COMPS greyed out?
COMPS works on one event at a time. Click an event's name in Inventory to show only that event (see Step 1). COMPS is also greyed out while PRICE INLINE is on.
Why don't I see competitor rows?
Competitor prices are only available for some events and marketplaces, and only prices from the last 6 hours are shown. Check that Markets isn't set to None, and try turning on more marketplaces.
