Introduction
SeatHQ has a menu across the top of every page. This guide shows you what's under each menu item, how the page tabs work, how to get back to your Inventory, your account settings or the Help Center, and how to send feedback to the SeatHQ team.
The numbers in brackets, like (1), match the numbered markers in the screenshots.
Step 1: Open Inventory from Positions
From any other page, point to Positions (1) in the top menu and click Inventory (2) to manage your listings. Clicking the word Positions also opens Inventory.
Inventory is the page you see after you log in.
Step 2: Open Orders from Delivery
Point to Delivery (1) and click Orders (2) to see your sales and deliver tickets. Clicking the word Delivery also opens Orders.
Tip: On Orders, the last column at the far right of the grid has no heading. It holds the Fulfill Order icon (a check mark in a circle, on orders you still need to deliver). If you don't see it, scroll the grid to the right. If it still isn't there, click the Columns icon in the toolbar at the top right of the grid and turn on Actions.
Step 3: Open Your Purchasing Pages from Accounting
Point to Accounting (1). Its menu (2) has two items:
- Click Purchase Accounts to manage the accounts you buy tickets with. The page is titled Purchasing Accounts.
- Click Purchase Orders to see the purchase orders created when you add tickets.
Step 4: Open Your Reports from Reporting
Point to Reporting (1). Its menu (2) has two items:
- Click Purchases to open the Purchases report.
- Click Sales to open the Sales report.
Clicking the word Reporting also opens the Purchases report. To choose dates and read a report, see How to Open Reports and Run a Report.
Step 5: Open the Activity Log
Click Activity (1) for a history of changes to your listings and orders.
The top-menu item for the page you're on is highlighted with a blue underline.
Step 6: Use the Page Tabs
The row of tabs under the top menu links related pages, for example Purchase Accounts (1) and Purchase Orders (2), or the Purchases and Sales reports. The tab you're on is bold with a blue underline.
Once you've opened a page, its tab shows a count, for example Purchase Orders 28. The Purchases and Sales report tabs don't show a count.
Step 7: Go Back to Inventory
From any page, click the SeatHQ logo (1) at the top left. Your Inventory (2) opens.
Step 8: Open Account Settings or Log Out
Click your initials and email (1) at the top right. A menu opens with your name and email address at the top, then Account settings and Log out (see How to Log Out of SeatHQ). Below them, on one line, Terms of Use and Privacy Policy open SeatHQ's terms of use and privacy policy in a new browser tab.
Tip: Your email at the top right is usually cut short. The menu shows it in full.
Step 9: Get Help
Click the ? icon (1), labeled Help & support, to open the SeatHQ Help Center in a new browser tab.
⚠️Important: Menus open when you point to them. The menu item for the page you're on works differently: it doesn't open a menu, and clicking it does nothing. Its pages show as tabs under the top menu instead (see Step 6). Clicking any other menu word opens its first page: Positions opens Inventory, Delivery opens Orders, Accounting opens Purchasing Accounts, and Reporting opens the Purchases report.
Tip: Activity is a single page with no tab row.
Tip: The search bar, the affiliate button and the bell (notifications) at the top of every page each have their own article: see How to Find Events, Listings and Orders with the Search Bar, How to Check or Switch the Affiliate You're Working In and How to Check Your Notifications.
Step 10: Send Feedback
The SEND FEEDBACK tab (1) sits at the bottom left of every page. Click it to report a problem or share an idea with the SeatHQ team.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I find Reports?
In the top menu, point to Reporting and click Purchases or Sales (see Step 4). Once a report is open, use the Purchases and Sales tabs under the top menu to switch between the two reports (see How to Open Reports and Run a Report).
I see "Access Denied" or "404 This page could not be found." What happened?
That page isn't part of seller accounts, or isn't available yet. Old bookmarks and older guides can lead there. Use the top menu instead. If you think you should have access, email support@seathq.com with the page address.
An older guide mentions a left-hand menu. Where did it go?
SeatHQ now uses the menu across the top of the page.
