Introduction
The search bar at the top of every page finds your events, listings, orders, purchase orders and purchasing accounts. This guide shows you how to find an event and see all of your tickets for it, and how to go straight to a listing, order, purchase order or purchasing account.
The numbers in brackets, like (1), match the numbered markers in the screenshots.
Step 1: Click the Search Box
Click the search box (1) at the top of any page.
Step 2: Type What You're Looking For
Type at least two characters: an event, team, performer, venue or city name, a SeatHQ order number, a PO number, or a purchasing account email, for example hamilton. Results appear as you type, grouped into:
- EVENTS (1): your events
- INVENTORY (2): your listings
- SALES (3): your orders
- PURCHASES (4): your purchase orders
- PURCHASING ACCOUNTS: your purchasing accounts (email address and vendor)
The number in the badge next to each group name is how many matches it has. Only groups with matches are shown.
Step 3: See When There Are More Matches
If a group ends with a line like +4 more in Events (1), there are more matches than the list shows. Each group shows up to six matches. Type more of the name to narrow the results, or open the page and use its filters.
Step 4: Open an Event to See All of Its Tickets
Click an event under EVENTS. Inventory opens filtered to that event, with an Event: Hamilton filter (1) at the top. The event (2) is listed with all of your listings for it underneath.
To see all of your inventory again, click the ✕ on the filter or click Clear all filters.
Step 5: Open a Listing
Click a result under INVENTORY. Inventory opens filtered to that listing's event and section, with an Event: Hamilton filter and a Section: Front Mezzanine filter (1). The listing (2) is highlighted and its details (3) open on the right.
Step 6: Open an Order
Click a result under SALES. Orders opens filtered to that order, with a Search: filter showing the order number (1). The order (2) is highlighted and its details (3) open on the right, including the Fulfill Order button.
Step 7: Open a Purchase Order
Click a result under PURCHASES. Purchase Orders opens filtered to that purchase order (1) and shows its row (2).
Step 8: Open a Purchasing Account
Click a result under PURCHASING ACCOUNTS. Purchasing Accounts opens with that email address in its search box (1).
Step 9: Use the Keyboard
Press the Down arrow or Up arrow to move through the results. The highlighted result (1) shows an Enter (↵) icon. Press Enter to open it.
Tip: When the results first appear, the first result is already highlighted.
Step 10: Close or Clear the Search
Press Esc to close the results. Your text stays in the box (1). Click the ✕ (2) at the right end of the box to clear it.
⚠️Important: Search only shows your own events, listings, orders, purchase orders and purchasing accounts.
⚠️Important: If nothing matches, you'll see No matches found and Try a different search term.
Tip: Clicking an event is the quickest way to see every ticket you have for it in one place.
Tip: The +N more line isn't a link.
Tip: Searching a SeatHQ order number narrows the results to that one order. Click it to open it.
Frequently Asked Questions
I get "No matches found". What now?
Check the spelling and try fewer words, for example just the team name. Search only covers your own events, listings, orders, purchase orders and purchasing accounts.
Inventory only shows one event after I searched. How do I see everything again?
Click the ✕ on the Event: filter, or click Clear all filters. Clicking the Inventory tab under the top menu, or the SeatHQ logo, also shows all of your listings.
