Introduction
The bell at the top of every page tells you about new sales and changes to your listings. This guide shows you how to read your notifications and open the related order or listing.
The numbers in brackets, like (1), match the numbered markers in the screenshots.
Step 1: Find the Bell
Look at the bell (1) at the top right. The blue number is how many unread notifications you have.
Step 2: Open Notifications
Click the bell to open Notifications (1). The top shows how many are new (2). View All Activity (3) is at the bottom.
Step 3: Read a Notification
Each notification (1) shows what happened (for example New Sale or Price Updated), the details, and how long ago it happened. A blue dot next to the title (2) means it's unread.
Step 4: Scroll for Older Notifications
Scroll the list for older notifications. Unread notifications (1) are listed first, followed by the ones you've already read (2), which have no blue dot.
Step 5: Open a Notification
Click a notification's text to open it. A New Sale opens the order (1) in Orders, with its details (2) on the right. The notification is marked as read, so the number on the bell (3) drops by one.
Step 6: View All Activity
To see the full history, click the bell and then View All Activity. The Activity page opens, with Activity (1) highlighted in the top menu.
Step 7: Close the Panel
To close the panel without opening anything, click the bell again or press Esc.
⚠️Important: Opening a notification marks it as read. To mark notifications as read without opening them, see How to Mark Notifications as Read.
Tip: The bell checks for new notifications by itself while the SeatHQ tab is open and in front.
Tip: Notifications follow your login, so you see the same list whichever affiliate is selected.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know I've made a sale?
You'll get a New Sale notification, for example "2 tickets sold for …". The order also appears in Delivery > Orders.
What do the other notifications mean?
- Order Fulfilled: an order's tickets were delivered.
- Price Updated: a listing's price changed.
- Tickets Published / Tickets Unpublished: a listing was turned on or off for marketplaces.
- Tickets Added / Tickets Deleted: tickets were added or removed.
- Tickets Split / Tickets Combined: a ticket group was split, or groups were combined.
Where does clicking a notification take me?
New Sale and Order Fulfilled open the order in Orders. Listing notifications (for example Price Updated, Tickets Added or Tickets Unpublished) open Inventory filtered to that event.
Do notifications disappear once read?
No. They lose the blue dot and move below the unread ones.
