Introduction
When you have a lot of purchase orders, filters and sorting help you find the ones you need.
This guide shows you how to narrow the Purchase Orders list to the events, amounts or purchase dates you care about, how to include sold-out purchase orders and past events, and how to sort the list by any column.
The numbers in brackets, like (1), match the numbered markers in the screenshots.
Step 1: Filter by Text
On Purchase Orders, type in the box under a column header. For example, type part of the event name in the Event box (1). The list updates as you type and shows only the matching purchase orders (2).
Click the × in the box to clear it.
⚠️Important: Column filters stay in place while you move around SeatHQ in the same browser tab. If purchase orders seem to be missing, check the filter boxes and Filters first.
Tip: If nothing matches your filters, you'll see No purchase orders match your current filters.
Step 2: Filter by a Range
Under QTY, SOLD % and COST, type a Min value, a Max value or both. For example, type 50 in Min under SOLD % (1) to see the purchase orders that are at least half sold (2).
Step 3: Filter by Purchase Date
- Click the Date box, with the calendar icon, under DATE (1). A calendar opens.
- Click a start date (2), then an end date (3). The days in between are highlighted, and the box shows the range.
- Click Done (4).
Step 4: Check the Date Filter
The Date box now shows the range you picked (1), with an × (2) next to it. The list shows only the purchase orders you bought in that range (3).
To clear the date filter, click the × (2).
Step 5: Show Sold-Out Purchase Orders or Past Events
- Click Filters (1).
- Under QUICK FILTERS, tick Show past events (2), Show sold out (3) or both. In this example, only Show sold out is ticked.
- Click Done (4).
To untick everything, click Clear all (5).
Tip: The quick filters only apply when you click Done.
Step 6: See the Result
The Filters button shows how many quick filters are on (1). Sold-out purchase orders, such as one that is 100% sold (2), now appear in the list.
The count at the bottom goes up (3). In this example it now says 25 of 31 purchase orders instead of 25 of 28, and the number on the Purchase Orders tab changes to 31.
Step 7: Sort the List
Click a column header to sort by it. Each click switches between highest to lowest (↓), lowest to highest (↑) and no sort.
By default, the list is sorted by DATE, newest first. To sort by another column on its own:
- Click DATE (1) twice to turn its sort off. The arrow next to it disappears.
- Click the column you want, for example COST (2). Here, the most expensive purchase orders are now at the top.
Tip: If you click a second column header while another sort is on, the new column becomes a tie-breaker. Small numbers (1, 2) next to the arrows show the sort order.
Tip: To keep a set of filters and sorting for next time, click View: No view at the top right of the list and choose Save as new view… (see How to Save, Apply and Reset Table Views).
Frequently Asked Questions
A purchase order disappeared. Where did it go?
It has probably sold out or its event has passed. Click Filters, tick Show sold out or Show past events, and click Done.
I clicked a column header but the order didn't change. Why?
Another column (usually DATE) is still sorted first, so your new column only breaks ties. Click DATE until its arrow disappears, then click your column again.
