Introduction
This guide shows you how to save the way a table is set up (its filters, columns and sorting) as a named view, update it, bring it back in one click, choose a default view, rename a view and reset the table. You do all of this from the View button in the toolbar above the table. When no saved view is applied, the button reads View: No view.
Saved views work on the Inventory, Orders, Purchase Orders and Activity pages, and on the Purchases and Sales reports. Each page keeps its own views. The examples below use the Inventory page.
The numbers in brackets, like (1), match the numbered markers in the screenshots.
Step 1: Set Up the Table
Set the table up the way you want it. For example, on Inventory:
- Click Filters (1).
- Under QUICK FILTERS, tick Has Sold (2).
- Click Done (3).
You can also choose columns and sorting (see How to Sort, Show or Hide Columns and Change Row Spacing).
Step 2: Open the View Menu
Click View: No view (1) in the toolbar. No view, at the top of the menu, has a check mark because no saved view is applied. Default next to it means you haven't made a saved view your default yet (see Step 10). Until you save a view, the menu shows No saved views yet (2) under SAVED VIEWS. Click Save as new view… (3).
Step 3: Name and Save the View
- Type a name in the View name... box (1), for example Sold listings.
- Click Save (2) or press Enter.
Tip: A view remembers filters, visible columns, column widths and sorting. It doesn't remember row spacing (Density).
Step 4: Check That It Saved
You'll see View saved. (1) at the top of the page, and the button now reads View: Sold listings (2). Click the × to close the message.
Step 5: Update a View
If you change the table while a view is applied, you can save the change into the view. For example:
- Click the LIST $ column header (1) to sort by list price. An orange dot appears on the View button (2). It means the table has unsaved changes.
- Click the View button, then click Save changes to “Sold listings” (3).
The orange dot goes away. To drop your change instead, click the view's name under SAVED VIEWS to apply it again as it was saved.
Step 6: Reset the Table
To put the table back to normal, click the View button (1), then Manage views…. Under MANAGE VIEWS, click Reset to default (2).
Step 7: Confirm the Reset
In the Reset to default? window, click Reset (1). The table goes back to its default columns, sizing, sorting and filters, and the button reads View: No view again. Your saved views are kept. To leave the table as it is, click Cancel.
Step 8: Apply a Saved View
Click View: No view (1). Your views are listed under SAVED VIEWS. Click the one you want, here Sold listings (2).
After the reset, Filters no longer shows a number and the table shows all your listings again.
Step 9: Check That the View Is Applied
The view's filters, columns and sorting are applied straight away:
- The button reads View: Sold listings (1).
- Filters shows 1 (2), because Has Sold is ticked again.
- The table shows only the listings that match.
Tip: To stop using a view, click the View button and choose No view at the top of the menu. The table goes back to its standard set-up and shows all your listings again. Your saved view is kept.
Step 10: Manage Your Views
Click the View button, then Manage views…. Next to each view:
- Click the star (1) to make the view your default view. The star fills in, and the View menu shows Default next to the view. Your default view opens each time you log in. While you're logged in, each page keeps the view you last chose, or No view if you chose that. Click the filled star again to unset it.
- Click the view's name (2) to apply it.
- Click the pencil (3) to rename the view.
- Click the bin (4) (Delete view) to delete the view.
⚠️Important: Clicking the bin deletes the view straight away. It doesn't ask you to confirm, and you can't undo it. To stop using a view without deleting it, choose No view in the View menu.
Tip: You can also make a view your default from the View menu: apply the view, then click Make “view name” my default.
Tip: Reset to default doesn't change which view is your default, so your default view opens again the next time you log in.
Step 11: Rename a View
Click the pencil, type the new name and press Enter (or click the check mark). The new name shows straight away, here Sold tickets (1), and the button reads View: Sold tickets (2).
⚠️Important: Saved views are stored in this browser only. They won't appear on another computer, and clearing your browser data deletes them. Logging out keeps them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can my teammates see my saved views?
No. Views are saved in your browser, not in your account.
Can I use the same view on another page?
No. Each page has its own views. For example, a view you save on Inventory isn't listed on Orders.
What happens to my views when I log out?
They're kept. When you log in again, your default view opens, or No view if you haven't set a default.
