Introduction
This guide explains how and when you receive payments for your ticket sales on SeatHQ. Understanding the payout process helps you track your earnings, avoid delays, and ensure your account is properly set up for payment.
The process is straightforward, and by following a few key requirements, you can ensure timely and accurate payouts.
Overview
In this guide, you will learn:
- Billing Cycle: SeatHQ operates on a weekly billing cycle from Saturday through Friday
- Payout Timing: Payments are issued each Thursday for completed sales tied to events that occurred during the prior billing cycle
- Eligibility: Orders become eligible for payout once the event has taken place and no issues have been reported (such as invalid tickets or buyer disputes)
- ACH Requirement: You must complete your ACH Payment Form accurately before the end of the billing cycle to receive your payout
Continue reading below for step-by-step details.
Complete a Sale
Once your tickets are sold on SeatHQ, the order is recorded and tracked in your account. At this stage, no payment is issued yet.
Payments are only processed after the event has taken place to ensure successful fulfillment.
Wait for the Event to Occur
Payments are only eligible after the event date has passed. This ensures that tickets were valid, delivered successfully, and no issues were reported.
If any issues arise (such as invalid tickets or buyer disputes), payment may be delayed or adjusted.
Understand the Weekly Billing Cycle
SeatHQ operates on a weekly billing cycle that runs from Saturday through Friday. All completed and eligible sales for events within this timeframe are grouped together.
This cycle determines when your payout will be processed.
Example:
An event that takes place on Sunday will be paid on the second Thursday following the event. For example, an event held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, will be paid on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
Receive Payment via ACH Transfer
Payouts are issued via ACH transfer every Thursday for all eligible orders from the previous billing cycle.
As long as your event has occurred and there are no issues, your payment will be included in the next Thursday payout.

Review Seller Fees and Net Payout
Your payout is calculated based on your completed sale and applicable fees.
You will receive:
- Your final listing price
- Minus SeatHQ’s 10% fee
The remaining amount is your net payout.
Example:
- You list 4 tickets at $100 each
- 2 tickets are sold at $100 each
- Order Total: $200
Payout Calculation:
- $200 − 10% = $180
Your net payout for this transaction would be $180.
Be Aware of Potential Adjustments or Withholds
SeatHQ may withhold, delay, or offset payouts if there are outstanding issues, such as:
- Buyer refunds or replacements
- Invalid or undelivered tickets
- Fees or policy violations
These adjustments ensure platform integrity and buyer protection.
Understand Returned Payment Handling
If an ACH payment fails (e.g., due to incorrect banking details or insufficient funds), a returned payment fee of up to $35 may apply.
Your account may also be temporarily suspended until the issue is resolved.
