This guide will walk you through each step of listing your tickets, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Get ready to maximize your ticket sales with SeatHQ!
Step 1: Create Your SeatHQ Account
- Visit the SeatHQ website: sell.seathq.com.
- Select Sign Up.
- Fill out all required fields.
- Review the Seller Policies before agreeing to them.
Step 2: Access the Dashboard Home Page
After signing in, you will arrive at the Dashboard Home Page. This page provides a summary of your account, and is your starting point to navigate to all platform features, including:
- Inventory: where you can view and manage your existing listings
- +Create: where you will create your listings
- Sales: where you can view your sales
- Activity: where you can see all the activity in your account including when listings are created, when prices change, when tickets sell, and when orders are completed.
Step 3: Open the +Create Page
- From the navigation menu on the left side of the screen, click +Create.
- This will open the Create page where you can add the tickets you want to list.
Step 4: Search for the Event
- In the Event Selection field, type the name of the event you want to list. You may select multiple events (for example if you are adding an entire season of tickets).
- Select the correct event(s) from the dropdown list that appears.
If the event does not appear in the search results, please contact support for assistance: support@seathq.com
Step 5: Select Your Purchasing Account
Next, select the purchasing account associated with the tickets.
By default, a Sports Illustrated Tickets account that matches your SeatHQ login will be selected.
Step 6: Enter Seating Information
In the Seating Information section, fill out all required ticket details, including:
- Section
- Row
- Seat numbers
You will also choose options from dropdown menus for:
Seat Type
-
Consecutive seats are seats that are next to each other with no gaps in the numbering. These seats are directly beside each other.
- Example 1: Seat 12 and 13 → consecutive
- Example 2: Seat 20, 21, 22 → consecutive
-
Even / Odd seats usually occur in venues where seat numbers alternate sides of the row. In these cases, the seats are still next to each other physically, even though the numbers skip one (TIP: this is a typical seat type available at Theaters).
- Example 1: Seat 12 and 13 → consecutive
- Example 2: Seat 20, 21, 22 → consecutive
Split Type
- Standard Split Rule: This allows buyers to purchase some of the tickets you listed, as long as it doesn’t leave a single seat by itself.
- Example: If you list 4 tickets, a buyer could purchase 2 or all 4, but not 3 (because that would leave 1 unsold).
- All Splits: Buyers can purchase any number of tickets from your listing. Example: If you list 4 tickets, someone could buy 1, 2, 3, or all 4.
- No Splits: Your tickets must be purchased together as a full set. Example: If you list 4 tickets, a buyer must purchase all 4.
- Split Multiples of 2: Tickets can only be purchased in pairs. Example: If you list 6 tickets, buyers could purchase 2, 4, or all 6, but not 1, 3, or 5.
Step 7: Add Pricing Information
Enter the pricing details for your tickets in the Pricing Information section.
- Cost: The Cost field includes service fees, taxes, and the total amount paid for the tickets. You may not always be the original purchaser. The Cost is not a required field, but it is useful for displaying proper P&L (profit/loss) for your tickets. Without the cost entered, the system will not accurately reflect portfolio value and ROI (Return on Investment).
- Face Value: Face Value is the amount stated on the ticket as its original price. You can find the face value of your tickets on the original purchase order confirmation or receipt. It can also be found on the ticket. Face Value is not a required field. However, if you want tickets listed in certain jurisdictions, face value may be required (for example: Ontario or the UK).
- List Price: The List Price is the price per ticket you want to sell your tickets for. You will receive the list price minus the sell fee.
Step 8: Configure Ticket Delivery
Next, select your Delivery Method.
Choose from the available dropdown options:
Delivery Methods:
- Mobile Transfer
- E‑Ticket
Availability:
- On Hand
- Pending
If you choose Pending, an additional Availability Date field will appear.
⚠️Important: You may not select an on‑hand date after the event date. On‑hand dates must occur before the event. Selecting an on-hand date after the event date might result in an error when you try to create your listing.
Failure to deliver by the expected delivery date could result in order cancellation and additional penalties.
Step 9: Add Optional Order Information
You may add:
- External Order ID (for example: your Sports Illustrated Tickets Order ID)
- External Notes
Required Disclosures
You must disclose if tickets are:
- Obstructed view
- ADA accessible
- Restricted in any way (for example: 21+ only)
Optional Ticket Attributes
You may add attributes to promote your tickets, such as:
- Club access
- Food & beverage included
- Aisle seats
- VIP access
Step 10: List Your Tickets
Once all required fields are completed:
- Under Publishing, use the toggle on the right side to choose Publish to Marketplace or Create Unpublished.
- Select the blue Add to Inventory button.
- Review your listing to make sure the seat information is correct.
- Your tickets will appear on the Inventory page in the left‑hand menu.
Your tickets will be listed on major ticket resale marketplaces, such as:
- StubHub
- SeatGeek
- Vivid Seats
- TickPick
- GameTime
- TicketNetwork
- Go Tickets
- Viagogo
- Gigsberg
- Ticombo
- TixStock
⚠️Important: It may take approximately 5 minutes for your listing to appear on these marketplaces. Tickets may appear on some, but not all, marketplaces.
