Introduction
Tags are short labels you add to orders, such as Rush delivery, to help you keep track of them. This guide shows you how to add and remove tags on many orders at once with Manage Tags, how to add a tag to a single order from its panel, and how to rename or remove a tag.
The numbers in brackets, like (1), match the numbered markers in the screenshots.
Step 1: Select the Orders and Open Manage Tags
- On Delivery > Orders, tick the checkbox next to each order you want to tag (1).
- Click Manage Tags in the bar above the grid (2).
Step 2: Check the Manage Tags Dialog
The Manage Tags dialog opens.
- Under the title, you'll see how many orders you selected (1), here 2 orders selected.
- Already on the selection (2) shows the tags these orders already have, here VIP buyer.
- Under Add tags, the External tags (3) are visible to buyers on marketplaces. They're grouped into Disclosure (for example Obstructed View or Must be 21+), Perk (for example Includes parking) and Attribute (for example Aisle Seat). Each group has its own small icon.
Step 3: Add a Tag
In this example, you create your own tag instead of picking an external tag.
- Scroll down below the external tags. Under Add tags, type a name in Search or create tag… and press Enter. The new tag appears in the box (1). You can also pick an existing tag from the list.
- To keep the tag to yourself, tick Personal tag (only visible to me) (2).
Step 4: Remove a Tag (Optional)
To take a tag off the selected orders, click Select tags to remove… under Remove tags (1) and choose the tag (2), here VIP buyer.
Step 5: Apply Your Changes
Check the tags you're adding (under Add tags) and removing (under Remove tags), then click Apply (1).
Step 6: Check the Results
A progress box in the bottom-right corner (Updating tags on 2 records here) lists each order with Applied once it's updated (1).
Step 7: See Tags on a Single Order
Double-click an order to open its panel and scroll to Tags. You'll see the tags you applied (1): here Rush delivery was added and VIP buyer is gone. To add a tag to just this order, click + Tag (2).
⚠️Important: Order tags show in each order's panel under Tags, not in the grid. The grid's EXTERNAL TAGS and INTERNAL TAGS columns show the listing's tags.
Step 8: Choose the Tag Type and Name
- Pick the tag type with the small icons in the tag editor (1). Click the tag icon for a company tag, the eye icon for an external tag, or the lock icon for a personal tag.
- Type the tag name.
Here the lock is selected for a personal tag, and the name is Call buyer.
⚠️Important: Who sees your tags: external tags (eye icon) are visible to buyers on marketplaces, and each one triggers the matching disclosure or attribute there. Internal tags are never shown to buyers. A personal tag (lock icon) is only visible to you, and any other internal tag (a company tag) is visible to your whole team.
Step 9: Save the Tag
Press Enter. The tag appears in the Tags section (1). Personal tags show a lock.
- To rename a tag, double-click it.
- To remove a tag, click the x on it.
⚠️Important: Clicking x on a tag in the order's panel removes it immediately. There's no confirmation.
Tip: Use the same tag names every time (for example Rush delivery) so your orders stay easy to sort out.
